Nexus Security Insight Into the World of Professional Security

fortel nijjer

Nexus Security was founded in 2005 to help protect Fortel construction sites. Fast forward to 2021, Nexus Security is one of the UK’s leading security companies and offers a crucial service to a number of clients.

From busy construction sites to prestigious office complexes, the licensed Nexus teams deliver services including, manned guarding, event security and remote monitoring.

Nexus provides specialist front line security to protect clients assets, employees, and visitors, always ensuring that reliability, professionalism and customer service is at the forefront of every job.

Professional security teams play a key role in any business. Often the first point of contact on-site, there are a number of skills that are integral within security roles.

For example, security personnel must be able to ensure that all clients and staff feel safe and welcome when entering any company site.

Good organisation is also important in security work as administrative tasks such as signing visitors in and handling deliveries are also part of day-to-day functions when working in security.

Relevant training is vital; security teams must have conflict management skills and First Aid training, in order to take control of any situations where conflict or injury has occurred. Health & Safety training is also paramount as carrying out health and safety checks, such as identifying fire hazards or leaks, is also a very important part of security work.
Given the current landscape following the outbreak of COVID-19, there is also more demand for security personnel to help enforce certain health and safety regulations. Team members have had to adapt to changing laws and guidelines in order to help serve communities and keep everyone safe.

We want to applaud all security workers for playing such a critical role in supporting the community and helping the world transition into a new normal.

Fortel Sat Nijjer announces National Apprenticeship Week 2021

It’s National Apprenticeship Week and this year’s theme is ‘Build The Future’.

At Fortel, we know how positive the impact of apprenticeships can be on local communities, businesses and regional economies. Therefore, we are making a pledge to continue actively creating opportunities to help boost the community and motivate young people to kick start their careers in construction and engineering.

It’s important to also take this opportunity to applaud the resilience of all apprentices and employers during such unprecedented times.

We believe that education is vital and should be easily accessible all over the world, so our apprenticeships, placements and graduate schemes will be open internationally, welcoming people from across the globe to apply.

One of our many successful former apprentices, Maisy Knox, joined Fortel straight from school and has been thriving ever since.

Maisy joined Fortel after making a firm decision that her future lay in practical working experience rather than Further Education.

It was a decision she felt 100% confidence in and she chose Fortel over other offers in order to pursue what she saw as an interesting and unique career in the Construction industry.

She has been flourishing in the Fortel working environment, taking on increased responsibility at every opportunity and succeeding in new challenges.

Maisy says: “Going straight into work has given me a head-start, I have structure and a purpose to my life.

“Fortel have given me so much support and encouragement, I feel like I am growing everyday and learning more about the construction industry.

“As an apprentice and moving into a full-time employee, it has been particularly encouraging to have the opportunity to get help from the senior management team when I need it.”

Maisy is one of many successful former apprentices here at Fortel, and we currently have 56 apprentices across our teams today.

Our aim is to continue providing a catalogue of training schemes and employability opportunities for each recruit.

Fortel Nijjer achievements are his pride

fortel nijjer

Fortel Nijjer has made is company proud. It is not only because of the achievements he made in small time but also due to high rate of satisfied customers. Fortel is the only company in the whole country that is providing its extraordinary services in civil engineering and construction field.

Fortel has been selected by Deloitte`s futures 1000 as it is one of the best service providers in the field of construction and civil engineering in the past few years.

Especially in 2019, many higher representatives of the company met different higher authority persons of the country about different services and current affairs related to their services. This was also a very proud moment for the company and its owner.

About their company and their team, they say that their success store is just because of some little factors that they followed throughout their journey. Here is what Fortel tells about their journey and the things they followed.

The first thing they did was to get some of the most experienced professionals in their team as they were growing. This addition of intellectual minds made the rate of their growth better. Additionally, they followed the rules that they created for all the members of the team.

They knew that the quality of their services and products that they provide is the main reason that will give them success. That is why they kept the quality of everything best throughout the journey. Even the staff members were chosen on some special requirements that ensured the quality of the staff.

Another thing that they did was to maintain the quality that they provide. This meant that as they were on the road to success, they did not change anything to make it low quality, although they made things better. One great step in this direction is that they are focused on the staff very well.

They train their staff for every task and everything is pre-planned. This not only makes the staff confident about the work, but also boosts their efficiency when they are working. They plan everything before every job. This helps them assign work to each team and their teams work in shifts one after another. This increases their productivity.

The best thing about them is that they have a team of estimators and engineers that plan every project. This helps them in making professional agreements about the projects that they are going to do in the future. One thing that they care about is that once they have agreed, they don’t change it to keep things fair.

Sometimes it causes a little difference in the ratio of profit and loss, but this increases the customer experience a lot. All these things played a major role in the success of Fortel. And that is why Sat Nijjer feels proud of his company.

About

Fortel is the company that is now in the top 1000 companies or the future list of Deloitte. This means that they have made a lot of success in the field of construction. If anyone wants to get any kind of construction job done, they are the best option in the whole country.

Fortel Collaborates With Peers on Modern Slavery Risks Guide

All companies within the Fortel Group are committed to Ethical Labour Sourcing – which is backed up by our BES 6002 accreditations.

The Ethical Labour Sourcing Standard, BES 6002 enables us to demonstrate to customers, partners and other stakeholders, the Fortel Group’s commitment to eliminating any possibility of trafficking or modern slavery within the supply chain.

As part of our work to tackle modern slavery on a wider scale, we recently collaborated with Balfour Beatty, HS2 Ltd, TfL, Network Rail, the Rail Safety and Standards Board and others to create the ‘Managing Modern Slavery Risks: A Good Practice Guide’.

This guide contains both information about setting up a modern slavery risk management system and processes; and information that should be communicated to all staff about how to spot and deal with potential victims.

Peter Ball, Fortel Group Commercial and Compliance Director, said: “Collaboration is a key value of the Fortel Group and we believe that it plays a major role in moving our industry forward.

“Modern slavery is an issue that requires collaboration to tackle and we are proud of the work we have carried out alongside our peers to create this guide.”
